The Tale of Kammapa and Lituolone

Chapter One: The Devouring Shadow

Long ago, the land of Alkebula trembled beneath the hunger of Kammapa, a monstrous being whose jaws were wide enough to swallow villages whole. Wherever he roamed, silence followed—no laughter of children, no songs of elders, only the echo of his footsteps and the gnashing of teeth.

Among the ruins of humanity, one soul remained: an old woman, frail yet cunning, who hid herself in caves and shadows. She watched the world vanish, her heart heavy with grief, her prayers whispered to the gods who seemed far away.

Chapter Two: The Birth of Hope

One dawn, the old woman felt a stirring within her. Without the touch of man, she bore a child—a boy adorned with shining amulets that glowed like embers of divine fire. She named him Lituolone, in honor of her god, believing him to be a gift sent to restore what was lost.

By nightfall, the child had grown into a strong young man, his shoulders broad, his eyes fierce with purpose. “Mother,” he asked, “where are the people of this land?”

With a trembling voice, she told him of Kammapa, the devourer of all. Lituolone’s jaw tightened. He took up a knife, its blade gleaming with resolve, and vowed to face the monster.

Chapter Three: Into the Belly of the Beast

Lituolone strode into the wilderness, his amulets clinking like war drums. Soon, Kammapa appeared, a mountain of flesh and fangs, his roar shaking the earth. Before Lituolone could strike, the monster lunged and swallowed him whole.

Darkness surrounded him, yet he was unharmed. Inside Kammapa’s belly, he found not only the stench of death but the muffled cries of countless souls trapped within. Gripping his knife, Lituolone carved through the beast’s flesh, each cutting a hymn of defiance.

Chapter Four: The Rebirth of a People

With a final slash, Kammapa’s stomach tore open. From its cavernous prison poured thousands of men, women, and children—those thought lost forever. They stumbled into the light, their voices rising in songs of freedom.

Kammapa fell, defeated, his reign of terror ended. Africa breathed again, its soil warmed by the footsteps of its people. Lituolone, the boy born of divine will, became their leader, the founder of the Sesuto tribe.

And so, from despair rose hope, from darkness came light, and from the belly of the beast was born the rebirth of a nation.
